Use of two stun-bombs by cops was unreasonable – State v. Fannelle

The Committee on Opinions has authorized the publication of the Law Division holding in State v. Fannelle. In this case, the police effected the entry into the home of a suspected drug dealer by use of a stun-grenade device. The Law Division ruled that the police did not follow their own procedures in this case for use of this type of explosive and thus acted unreasonably. As a result, the evidence seized has been ordered suppressed.
